Aloysius Gonzaga’s life was short but full of dedication and sacrifice. Born into a lavish aristocratic family, Aloysius Gonzaga was in line to succeed his father as the eldest son of a marquis. But he did not hesitate to give up the power and wealth he would have and joined the Society of Jesus.

From then on, St Aloysius was convinced that he was following God’s call and that he was on a mission with God. Thus, when Rome was amid a severe plague, the young Jesuit went among the sick, doing everything he could for the victims, including taking them to the doctor, cleaning their wounds, and feeding them, until Aloysius Gonzaga contracted the disease and died.

Aloysius Gonzaga was a man dedicated to serving others, and in him, one could truly feel the presence of God.
